Prenatal Care Schedule
This will be a list of what is usual and customary. Every midwife or practice has their own way within our rules and laws that they find useful. Keep in mind that you have the right to refuse any test or ask for additional testing. Your midwife will let you know how they feel about continuing your care if you refuse testing. You can also ask about alternatives. This should be a discussion and mutual decision about your care.

Appointment Expectations
Initial

What will happen at your appointment?

Discuss and sign all the consent documents, and financial agreements.

First payment of at least $500 due

Make copies of your drivers license and insurance cards.

Discuss supplements, chiropractic care, doula services, and childbirth education.

Go over your health history.

Draw labs for OB Panel and HIV.

Research childbirth education classes and find one that meets your needs. It is very important for first time moms or first time out of hospital birth moms to take a childbirth education class. Please let us know which one you choose to take.
